Bell Peppers

  • Boost Immunity: load up on vitamin C. 1 cup of sliced red bell peppers gives you 157% of your daily vitamin C content, making them a great way to stay healthy.

  • Balance Mood: Naturally occurring in bell peppers, B6 helps your brain produce serotonin and norepinephrine, two chemicals that affect your mood.

  • Natural Sleep Aid: The vitamin B6 found in bell peppers also aids in melatonin production, which your body needs to regulate its internal clock.

Sesame

  • They may be tiny in stature but sesame seeds are big when it comes to providing your body with protein & fibre.  This protein will help in the maintenance and development of muscles, while the fibre from sesame seeds help support a healthy digestive system.

  • By now, most of us know that fats comes in different varieties. Some are good, bad, or downright awful for health. Sesame oil is rich in polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats, the kind that are ‘heart healthy’ and help keep cholesterol under control, and low in saturated fats, the bad fat which boost inflammation and total cholesterol.

Whole Wheat Spaghetti

  • The seeds of whole grains have three distinctive components called the endosperm, germ and bran. When these are intact, whole grains offer you higher nutrient value, while refined grains do not. The refining devalues the nutrient content.

  • Pasta has a real energizing effect: Eaten in the right quantities, it helps improve performance during physical activity and increase stamina. It provides B vitamins that are involved in the metabolism of fats, sugars, and proteins. These vitamins help produce vital energy to combat the physical fatigue that can occur during training.

  • Also a great source of complex carbohydrates that slowly provide energy to the body.
